THE PRACTICE

Rooted in ancient healing. Made for modern life.

"What a wonderful experience. Powerful and empowering. I felt comfortable and safe. My racing mind relaxed and took some time out. A wonderful therapist. The whole experience was healing. ★★★★★"

An Invitation to Stillness

At Self Space, I combine the attentiveness and nourishment of high-end bodywork with the depth and presence of mindful healing. The backbone of the practice is Thai Yoga Bodywork, an ancient healing practice that works with the whole body through mindful touch, assisted movement, and therapeutic pressure. I also incorporate elements of shiatsu, Swedish massage, and other therapeutic approaches where appropriate, making this a unique and profoundly healing experience.

This practice is a way of listening and responding - through touch, movement, pressure and stillness - to what the body is communicating and how it is holding itself or asking for support.

Each treatment engages the body on five levels:

the skin
fascia, muscles, and soft tissue
the energetic channels (sên)
the bones and joints
and the internal organs.

These techniques have been refined over thousands of years and

are recognised for their therapeutic benefits across many

healthcare traditions around the world.

The Holistic Art of Touch

Each session is shaped by:

  • what your body presents on the day

  • your history, activity, and energy levels

  • your capacity for movement, rest, and release

This approach suits:

  • people feeling tight, tired, or overloaded

  • people who train, exercise, or move regularly

  • those recovering from stress, illness, or life transitions

  • people new to bodywork

  • people who “don’t usually like massage”

You don’t need to be flexible, spiritual, or experienced — just willing to arrive as you are.

"It's an amazing experience. I feel calm and whole. Very meditative. I feel so cared for and physically and mentally nourished. It feels like it’s connected my body together and mind." ★★★★★
