WHAT TO EXPECT

A return

"An amazing experience from start to finish. All aspects of me feel energised and refreshed. I have new awareness of my body. ★★★★★"

Before

We’ll begin with a short conversation about how you’re feeling, your activity levels, and any injuries or concerns

You’ll be invited to wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement.

During

Sessions are typically floor-based and clothed, allowing the body to be safe, supported, stretched, and gently mobilised without effort from you. Each session is an invitation to rest deeply, release tension, and rediscover the healing intelligence already alive within your body.

The session takes place on a traditional kapok mattress, which is heated to your comfort level.
You’ll be guided into supported positions while I work with pressure, movement, and stillness.

You are always in control — communication and consent are central.

You may feel relaxed, energised, or quietly spacious.
Some people notice changes immediately; others over the following days.

I’ll offer simple guidance if needed, but there’s no expectation to do anything afterward. You are encouraged to rest where possible while your body integrates new alignment and flow.

Most people feel incredibly relaxed and rejuvenated afterwards. However, you may also feel tired as your body releases old energies and tensions. This is perfectly normal. Because the treatment is completely holistic, the effects will continue for several days. You are advised to take it easy during that time, drink plenty of water and -most of all- respond with kindness to the voice of your body.

Afterwards

"Thank you. This has been a wonderful experience. You have opened my eyes, mind and body to the beauty of this bodywork. I will definitely be booking monthly." Pattie, psychotherapist

How it works

A typical session last two hours. It starts at the feet, works up the legs, abdomen and chest, down the arms, along the sides and back of the body and ends with the head and face. It includes;

  • rhythmic pressure along muscles and connective tissue

  • assisted stretches and joint mobilisation

  • work along movement or energetic pathways (sên)

  • periods of stillness and integration

The experience is passive — many people describe it as feeling like two hours of yoga without having to do anything.

How it feels

People report feeling;

  • deeply relaxed

  • lighter and more spacious

  • grounded and centred

  • freer in their movement

  • revitalised

During the treatment, your therapist will occasionally ask for feedback about pressure and comfort levels. if you've never had this kind of bodywork it may feel a bit strange the first time as your body will be touched and moved in new ways. Once you've had a few treatments you will know what to expect and probably be wanting a more intense experience.
